About Campus Commune:- TCS Campus Commune is a place where students get to interact with peers and TCSers. It helps the students stay informed about the company and also gives them the means to hold thoughtful discussions on a variety of topics.
Interactions on the platform happen through Channels — interest based spaces to discuss topics ranging from technology to interview-related help. The platform also hosts exciting contests related to various engineering, tech, and business domains.
Guidelines of Campus Commune of TCS:
- Students need to register on TCS Campus Commune to participate in the contest.
- This is an individual contest and no teaming up is accepted.
- The infrastructure required for the development of the solution shall be borne by the respective student or the institutions they represent. TCS will not be liable for any uses or possible damage to the infrastructure which may be caused by the students during the contest.
- Entries submitted after the round/contest end dates will not be considered for evaluation.
- Students will not be required to procure any hardware or software, they can propose hardware or use simulators available on the internet if required.

1) Campus Commune – Purpose
Campus Commune is envisioned as a social and collaborative platform from TCSL. It is a professional portal through which all its users have an opportunity to connect, post views, share information and have issues/concerns addressed.
2) Governing Laws
Use of this site shall be governed by laws of India and the Courts of Mumbai, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction on any disputes arising out of use of or related to this Web Site. If any provision is held by a Court to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
All your activities on Campus Commune will be governed by the policies, rules, regulations, practices, procedures of TCSL as applicable to you and the changes therein from time to time.
3) Postings on Campus Commune
TCSL does not own any responsibility or obligation with regard to the comments or materials posted on Campus Commune, as it is a highly interactive site and will have lot of materials and perspectives being posted on it from various sources and users.
All comments/materials/views expressed by the User are solely the opinion of the User and not necessarily of TCSL and TCSL is not liable for any consequences in this regard. To prevent Campus Commune from being mis-used, TCSL takes reasonable steps through its Administrator by screening the User’s contribution/content on the portal (except during live web talks where it is not possible).
By submitting/posting any information or material on Campus Commune, the user assures TCSL that he/she has not violated any Intellectual Property Right of any person or party in partial or full. Also by submitting/posting any material on Campus Commune, the user also gives TCSL an unlimited and irrevocable license to use, execute, show, modify and transmit any such information, material or comments, including any underlying idea, concept or know-how contributed by the user. The Company reserves the right to use such information in any way it chooses.
4) Account Management
You agree
- To keep your Next Step/Campus Commune login id & password secure and confidential
- To not permit others to use your account
- To refrain from using other’s accounts
- To sell or transfer your Campus Commune access to a third party
- Not to upload a profile image or photo that is not your likeness
- To keep your Campus Commune profile information accurate and updated
- To take effort to safeguard your user credentials, sessions especially while accessing the portal on public systems (internet cafes, college laboratories, etc.)
You are responsible for anything that happens on Campus Commune through your account and you are liable for the same.
5) Conduct
You will maintain a professional conduct. By posting articles on Campus Commune, you also undertake not to do the following on the Campus Commune Portal
- Make postings or upload any content that is unlawful, libelous, abusive, obscene, discriminatory, hateful, threatening, pornographic in nature, prurient, likely to incite violence
- Use unparliamentarily or abusive language
- Harass, bully, intimidate, abuse or harm another person, group, institution or entities that are part of the Campus Commune Portal
- Send unwelcomed, irresponsible or inciting communications to other user(s) using features of Campus Commune
- Make postings or upload any content that tries to market or promote any product or service including self promotion
- Make or use the portal for any form of expression or discussion on politics and religion
6) Export Information from Campus Commune Portal
The Content on Campus Commune portal (except those that are owned by third parties) hereof is owned by TCSL. The intellectual Property rights including but not limited to rights to the design, layout, and style of presentation vests with TCSL.
You may not store, modify, publish, transmit, transfer, sell, reproduce, create derivative work from Campus Commune; distribute, repost, perform, display, archive in any manner or in any way exploit any of the Contents, design, layout or style of presentation owned by TCSL, except with prior written consent of TCSL.
7) Harm the Integrity of Campus Commune Portal/Denial of Service
You will not make any attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decipher or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of any component(s) used in the construction of Campus Commune.
You will not upload content that contains viruses, worms, or any other computer code, files or programs that interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment of Campus Commune or any user of Campus Commune.
8) Indemnifications
You fully indemnify and hold us (Tata Consultancy Services Limited) harmless for all damages, losses, and costs that you might face caused by
- 1. Your failure to comply with the terms of the above agreement
- 2. Failure to take steps to protect your identity and privacy while using Campus Commune
- 3. Consequences of any activity performed by you on Campus Commune
9) No Warranty
The information and content contained in Campus Commune, including text graphics, links or other items are provided “as is”, “as available”. TCSL does not warrant the quality, accuracy, adequacy, timeliness or completeness of this information and content and expressly disclaims liability for errors or omissions in this information and content.
As such, the information available on Campus Commune is not intended to be comprehensive, and many details which may be relevant to specific circumstance may have been omitted. The fact that the information contained in this portal been placed on the public record should not be taken to indicate that TCSL has verified or validated it.

Campus Commune is intended for a specific user group as governed by the registration process. You shall not falsify information to gain access to campus commune if you do not belong to the intended user group.
11) Compliance to All Terms
You should abide with all the terms and conditions listed; failure to comply or fulfill the outlined terms and conditions would attract disciplinary action such as censure, suspension including termination of access to Campus Commune, a formal report of the incident being sent to your placement officer/HoD/Principal where relevant and disqualification from taking part in the TCSL campus recruitment process apart from recourse to the applicable Laws of India including prosecution where relevant and necessary.
