  • Registrations Open
  • Registration End Date: Sunday, 23rd March 2025
  • Test Date: Saturday, 15th March 2025 onwards

TCS NQT follows an Integrated Test Pattern for entry level hiring at TCS. Based on the test performance, candidates will qualify for any one of the following hiring categories:

  • Prime
  • Digital
  • Ninja

However, the final offer category is decided based on the candidate’s overall performance in the selection process.

TCS NQT is exclusively open for the following academic qualifications in any specialization offered by AICTE/UGC recognized Universities/colleges for the graduating batch of 2025:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)
  • Master of Technology (M.Tech)
  • Master of Engineering (M.E)
  • Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A)
  • Master of Science (M.Sc/M.S)

Application Process:

Step 1. Log in to the TCS NextStep Portal  Opens in new tab

Step 2. Register and Apply for the Drive

  • Scenario A: If you are already a registered user under TCS NextStep Portal, ‘IT’ category, kindly log in with your TCS Reference ID (CT/DT reference number) and proceed to complete the application form. Upon submission, kindly click on ‘Apply For Drive’
  • Scenario B: If you are a new user, kindly click on ‘Register Now’, choose category as ‘IT’ and proceed to fill in your details. Submit your application form and click on ‘Apply For Drive’

Step 3. Select In-center mode of test, choose your 3 preferred test centers and click ‘Apply’.

Kindly note that allocation of test center will depend on the center availability.

Step 4. To confirm your status, check ‘Track Your Application’. The status should reflect as “Applied for Drive”.

  • Highest Qualification:

TCS NQT is exclusively open to the graduating Batch of 2025 – Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)/Master of Technology (M.Tech)/Master of Engineering (M.E)/Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A)/Master of Science (M.Sc/M.S) in any specialization offered by AICTE/UGC recognized universities/colleges.

  • Academic Aggregate: Candidates should have a minimum aggregate (all subjects in all semesters) of 60% or equivalent CGPA in class 10th, 12th, Diploma (if applicable), Graduation and Post-graduation (if applicable).

If selected, the offer will be valid only if the degree/provisional degree certificate clearly states that the candidates have cleared Engineering in ‘First Class’ within the stipulated course duration.

  • Backlogs/Arrears/ATKT: No pending backlog will be permitted at the time of appearing for the TCS selection process. 
  • Extended Education: No extended education will be allowed. Candidates should have completed the course in the stipulated course duration.
  • Gap/Break in Education: It is mandatory to declare gaps in education, if any. Overall academic gap should not exceed 24 months until highest qualification. Relevant documents, as applicable, will be checked for gaps.
  • Course Types: Only full-time courses will be considered (part-time/correspondence courses will not be considered).
  • Open Schooling: Candidates who have completed their Secondary and/or Senior Secondary course from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are also eligible to apply if the Graduation and Post-graduation (if applicable) courses are done full-time. 
  • Work Experience: Candidates with prior work experience of up to 2 years are eligible to apply (applicable only for Post-graduate students).
  • Age: Candidates should be between 18 to 28 years.
