Your Responsibilities
The job requires you to interface with other internal product development teams as well as cross-functional teams (Product Management, Integration Engineering, Quality Engineering, UX team and Technical Writers).
At a high level, the work will involve developing features on OCI, which includes but may not be limited to the following:
- Build and lead a high performing engineering team in the development and operations of major features
- Responsible to hire outstanding SDEs and SREs in a competitive environment. Proven ability to motivate, align, and manage high performing and empowered developers
- Work closely with senior management and architects, Product Management, IT and Operations teams for architecting, designing and developing several modules of “Data integration Service” on OCI.
- Continue to take the service to the next level to build scalability, extensibility and be operationally successful
- Provide valuable input to the technology strategy, infrastructure and architecture vision that supports the successful execution of the product roadmap and business strategy
- Allocate resources, set priorities, and manage schedules for the team
- Regularly present development progress and service health statistics to upper management
- Provide career management and mentorship to your team of engineers
- Inspire a culture of “Always On” Service Operations, including leading and participating in a 24x7x365 service operations on-call rotation
Your Qualifications
- A minimum of 12 years of experience with at least 2 years in cloud technologies
- 2+ years of experience managing teams
- Strong technical understanding in building scalable, high performance distributed services/systems
- Proven track record of running operations for a cloud service
- Experience working with Cloud infrastructure APIs, REST API model, and developing REST APIs
- Experience with Cloud computing, Spark, Kubernetes, Networking and storage
- Strong skills in programming with Java, Python or Scala
- Prefer hands-on in Java Programming, Big Data and Cloud. (Problem-Solving Skills, Algorithms, System Architecture, )
- Working knowledge of IaaS and Cloud computing, concepts of multi-tenancy: cloud security, virtualization and Service Level Availability a strong plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to different audiences.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
