Job Purpose
Data is critical to all decisions we take in NVS and fuels the most important organizational processes. This role will work with cross-functional stakeholders in countries, BUs to understand the most complex business needs and all possible data to analyze and produce meaningful insights to enable our business users fully leverage the potential of data and digital.
Major Activities
Participate in full development lifecycle from system design, development, and testing and production implementation
Perform Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources into Qlik Sense. Analyze data and systems to translate business needs into technical code, as well as maintain code
Design and develop new dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense based on the user requirements. Troubleshoot issues with existing data model and dashboards and modify existing dashboards creating the next release to incorporate new features from user feedback.
Perform initial QA tests on dashboard changes comparing old versions to new versions. Help gather requirements from the users guiding them to the right decisions by getting to the real business requirements
Share knowledge through peer code reviews with other developers. Monitor and address data quality issues. Create and maintain technical design documentation and adhere to and help set standards for design and coding, source control and documentation.
Experience in connecting visualization tools to databases directly (SQL, Oracle, SAP, AWS, Snowflake etc.)
- Performing data cleaning checks and conduct exploratory analysis using Excel Managing multiple projects simultaneously and mentor the associates in the team
- Perform statistical analysis of large data sets to understand trends, relationships between variables, and to formulate insights
Effectively tell data stories with hidden patterns in data through fit for purpose KPIs and visualizations designed in the most innovative way to communicate to the broader stakeholders
Support the practice with innovative ideas related to data visualizations and dashboards leveraging data, tools and technology to improve productivity.
Maximize synergies across operations centers, sites, procurement and finance focused on standardization of items purchased, of processes and of suppliers.
Continually evaluate dashboard and reporting solutions for quality, business impact, and scalability. Identify best practices internally and externally about data visualizations and use it to solve complex problems in projects and engagements.
Experience/Professional skills:
- Strong Qlik sense skills to create data models, dashboards and visualizations
- Technical skills include knowledge of database languages such as SQL, R, or Python
- Spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; and other data visualization software such as Power BI and Tableau
- Experience with Qlik Management Console (QMC) and access control modeling (section access)
- Experience administering and supporting the Qlik Management Console
- Strong data analysis and architect skills
- Qlik Sense Mashup design and development experience including Qlik extensions and various programming languages (java script, html, css, etc.)
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- An understanding of UI/UX design concepts
- At least 1 year of Strong SQL querying experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with prototyping/mock-ups/storyboards
Soft Skills:
- Highly motivated, flexible and adaptable
- High agility to work across projects, stakeholders, datasets and technologies
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Should be able self accountable and work independently
