Job Role: Finance & Accounts- Team Lead
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role is responsible for day to day administration required by the Financial Accounts department with reference to the production of monthly accounts for the India service entity.
Role and responsibilities:
- To manage all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, managing cash flow and financial reporting of Indian service entity.
- Sales invoicing – To various lines of Business (International) within the group based on Rate card or cost + mark-up basis and to liaison with various counterparts across the group for recovery.
- Payables process – Process vendor payments after approvals, account reconciliation and other activities as per Business requirement.
- Adhering to the TDS rules, ETDS return filing, vendor follow ups and management.
- Ensuring payroll process working efficiently and adhering to all payroll compliances like PF, PT, TDS, etc.
- Should be able to handle Statutory and Tax audits, ensuring its timely compliances.
- Issue regular status and ad-hoc reports to senior management.
- Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management.
- Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting.
- Work with team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
- Co-ordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Ideal Candidate:
- CA with 3-6 years of experience or B.Com/M.com with 7-10+ years of experience in Accounts & Taxation in service industry preferably in BFSI captive.
- A strong understanding of Accounting practices and excellent knowledge of accounting standards.
- Should have exposure of working on ERP software.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel.
- Should have experience of working in MNC/Shared service setup with Global teams.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Ability to engage with senior management as well as external partners across boundaries.
- Ability to think laterally and apply previous experience to new problems & displays adaptability to change
- Methodical approach with an attention to detail
- Ability to maintain quality and manage workload in order to meet deadlines.
- Well organised and able to prioritise their own workload
- Ability to work both in a team and individually
- Personal commitment to and visible role modelling of the organization’s behaviours and values.
