The examination process for Infosys Certification will test your knowledge in programming and databases. On clearing the examination, you become an ‘Infosys Certified Software Programmer’ and receive an interview opportunity for the Systems Engineer role at Infosys.
What are the eligibility criteria to register for Infosys Certification Program?
To register for Infosys Certification, you must be an InfyTQ user and a B.E., B. Tech, M.E., M. Tech, MCA, MCM, or M.Sc. student completing the degree course in 2023.
Examination process of Infosys Certification program for 2023 Batch:
Infosys Certification comprises two examination rounds :
- Certification Round – This round will assess your in-depth programming and database management skills through objective and hands-on questions. You will have the option to choose a programming language between Java and Python for this round. On scoring 65% or more in the Certification round and after going through the necessary checks, you will become eligible to appear in the Advantage Round.
- Advantage Round – This is an optional round for those who clear the Certification Round to gain an advantage and win a job opportunity for niche technical roles of Specialist Programmer and Digital Specialist Engineer at Infosys. If you decide to go through this round, you will have to take a test that will assess your programming and other technical skills. You will have the option to take this test in a programming language from multiple options. If you clear the round, you will receive a pre-placement interview opportunity for the Specialist Programmer and the Digital Specialist Engineer role and become an Infosys Certified Software Programmer. It will be a virtual interview that will assess your technical and behavioral skills.
In case, you do not opt/ clear the Advantage Round, you will get an opportunity to appear for the technical interview for the Systems Engineer Role and become an Infosys Certified Software Programmer based on your performance in the technical interview.
Steps to take the Infosys Certification examination:
- Register for Infosys Certification on this page
- Book a test slot from the available options and select the preferred programming language (Java/Python) for the Certification Round
- Complete the recommended learning journey to gain a headstart in your preparation for the examinations
- Check your system compatibility here to appear for the Infosys Certification examination
- Read the examination guidelines before appearing for the test(s) on the scheduled date and time.
The Certification Round:
• The Certification Round will have a mix of objective and hands-on questions to be answered in three hours. The questions are divided into three sections:
o Section I – Java/Python* Hands-on – 2 questions
o Section II – Java/Python* Multiple Choice Questions – 10 questions
o Section III – Database Management Systems – 10 questions
- The questions will be based on the programming language (Java/Python) selected at the time of booking the test slot
• There will be no negative marking in the Certification Round examination
• If you score 65% or above in this round and clear a few post-round necessary checks, you will have the option to either appear in the Advantage Round or appear in a techno-behavioral interview for the Systems Engineer role at Infosys and become an Infosys Certified Software Programmer.
The Advantage Round of Infosys Certification:
• This round is an advanced test that will assess your programming and other technical skills
• It comprises three programming-based questions of varying difficulty levels to be answered within three hours
• Each question will have a different weightage of marks
• In addition to the programming language (Java/Python), you will have the option to attempt this round in other languages. You can decide the programming language to take Advantage Round on the day of the test
• Candidates who clear the Advantage Round will get a pre-replacement interview opportunity for either the Power Programmer or the Digital Specialist Engineer role based on their performance in this round. The interview for these roles will assess the technical and behavioral skills of the candidate.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are found indulging in malpractice, including but not limited to appearing for multiple certification exams using different or fake credentials, at any stage of the Infosys Certification program, Infosys will invalidate your Infosys Certification and the job offer with immediate effect.
