What are the eligibility criteria to register for Infosys Certification?
To register for Infosys Certification, you must be an InfyTQ user and a B.E., B. Tech, M.E., M. Tech, MCA, MCM, or M.Sc. student completing the degree course in 2022.
Examination Process of Infosys InfyTQ for 2022 batch:
Infosys Certification comprises three examination rounds:
- Qualifying Round – We will test your knowledge in programming and database management along with your aptitude in this round.
- Final Round – If you clear the qualifying round, you will be required to take the final Infosys Certification examination, which will assess your in-depth programming and database management skills through objective and hands-on questions. If you score 65% or more in the final round, you will receive a certificate of being an ‘Infosys Certified Software Programmer’. You will also receive an opportunity to appear in a behavioral interview for the Systems Engineer role at Infosys.
- Advantage Round – This is an optional round for Infosys certified software programmers to gain an advantage and win a job opportunity for niche technical roles of Power Programmer and Systems Engineer Specialist at Infosys. If you decide to go through this round, you will have to take a test that will assess your programming and other technical skills. If you clear the round, you will receive a pre-placement interview opportunity for the Power Programmer and Systems Engineer Specialist roles. It will be a virtual interview that will assess your technical and behavioral skills.
Note: If you are a B.E./B. Tech/M.E./M.Tech student graduating in 2022 who has also registered for HackWithInfy and if you choose to appear in the Advantage Round, then your performance in this round will be considered to determine your selection for HackWithInfy final round.
Behavioral Guidelines of Infosys InfyTQ:
The entire duration of the test is Web-proctored. You will be on video, and therefore, please ensure the following:
• You must dress as though you are in a public setting
• You must not use headphones, earphones, or any other type of external audio equipment
• You must not communicate with any other person by any means
• You must not leave the video frame during the exam for any reason.
Steps to take the Infosys Certification examination:
- Register for Infosys Certification on InfyTQ Portal Page.
- Book a test slot from the available options and select the preferred programming language (Java/Python) for the Qualifying Round.
- Your Qualifying Round and Final Round examination will be based on your preferred programming language. You will not be able to change the selected language once your registration is complete
- Complete the recommended learning journey to gain a headstart in your preparation for the examinations
- Check your system compatibility here to appear for the Infosys Certification examination
- Read the examination guidelines before appearing for the test(s) on the scheduled date and time.
Exam Pattern of InfyTQ Infosys Certification for 2022 batch:
QUALIFYING ROUND
• The Qualifying Round will test your knowledge in programming and database management along with your aptitude.
• The test will have 40 multiple choice questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The questions are divided into three sections:
o Section I – Java/Python* – 20 questions
o Section II – Database Management Systems – 10 questions
o Section III – Aptitude – 10 questions
• Each correct answer will fetch one mark, and a wrong answer will receive a negative marking of 0.25.
*Based on the programming language selected at the time of booking a test slot for the Qualifying Round.
THE FINAL ROUND
• The Final Round will have a mix of objective and hands-on questions to be answered in three hours.
The questions are divided into three sections:
o Section I – Java/Python* Hands-on – 2 questions
o Section II – Java/Python* Multiple Choice Questions – 10 questions
o Section III – Database Management Systems – 10 questions
• The questions will be based on the programming language (Java/Python) selected at the time of booking a test slot for the Qualifying Round.
• There will be no negative marking in the Infosys Certification Final Round examination.
- If you score 65% or above in this round, you will become an ‘Infosys Certified Software Programmer’.
You will also receive an opportunity to appear in a behavioral interview for the Systems Engineer role at Infosys.
THE ADVANTAGE ROUND
• This round is an advanced test that will assess your programming and other technical skills.
• It comprises three programming-based questions of varying difficulty levels to be answered within three hours.
• Each question will have a different weightage of marks.
• In addition to the programming language (Java/Python) selected at the time of booking a test slot for the Qualifying Round, you will have the option to attempt this round in other languages also.
• Candidates who clear the Advantage Round will get a pre-replacement interview opportunity for either Power Programmer or Systems Engineer Specialist role based on their performance in this round.
The interview for these roles will assess the technical and behavioral skills of the candidate.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are found indulging in malpractice, including but not limited to appearing for multiple certification exams using different or fake credentials, at any stage of the Infosys Certification program, Infosys will invalidate your Infosys Certification and the job offer with immediate effect.
