Role Summary:
The employee will be responsible for the design of hydro generator mechanical components for installed based projects. He will also be responsible to give technical support for supply chain and site activities related to hydro generators.
Essential Responsibilities:
We are looking for a mechanical engineer with strong design skills. As a generator mechanical design engineer, you’ll be responsible to:
Deliver work packages for installed based projects or programs using technical guidelines, feedback of experience (FOE);
Collaborate with other engineering COEs (Center Of Excellence) worldwide;
Participate in design review meetings with other COEs and consulting Engineers.
Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, drawings and BOM’s under supervision of lead engineer;
Collaborate with supply chain;
Apply rules and concepts for reliability, quality, safety and cost;
Collaborate with lead engineers and system integrators for a given project;
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Degree in mechanical engineering
Good knowledge in strength of materials
1 to 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering
Pro-activeness, sense of urgency, autonomy;
Good communication skills;
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-locational environment;
Good analytical skills
Team player, positive, willingness to learn & adapt to business needs
Ability to travel
Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
Desired Characteristics:
– Valuable experience in Hydromechanical engineering is an asset
Bilingual Hindi and English, Spanish or French a plus
Knowledge of CAD tools
