Position Summary
As a member of the Application Operations team, the Application Support Engineer is responsible for application configuration, systems administration, and troubleshooting of Windows-based web applications.
Overview Of Responsibilities
- Support multiple web-based applications on the Microsoft Windows platform
- Running tasks using automation such as Octopus
- Perform Application Upgrade Deployments
- Respond to monitoring alerts
- Work tickets as assigned
- Installation and Configuration of various applications
- Installation of SSL certificates
- Follows standard practice and procedures to solve problems; analyzes situations or data
- Monitors systems
- Follows scripts to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
- Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions and checks for understanding
- Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Candidate should have knowledge of Windows Server Operating System 2012 and above.
- Candidate should have an understanding of Windows Services and how to stop, start, restart a service.
- Candidate should have basic knowledge of Microsoft IIS Web Server.
