Epiq is a global legal services organization that emphasizes technological solutions to our clients’ legal needs. The Beaverton office specializes in the administration of class action settlements, mass torts, and similar legal matters that impact large populations of potentially injured parties.
The primary responsibility of the Claims Training Specialist is to oversee all department training. Training Specialist responsibilities include managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting all trainings. Specifically, the Training Specialist will work closely with Claims management to understand training needs will develop training programs to ensure staff are appropriately trained in alignment with client requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops facility with claims and correspondence processing
- Sets goals for performance and deadlines in compliance with company plans and vision
- Conduct department-wide needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
- Design and develop trainings
- Select appropriate training methods and activities
- Design, prepare, and update educational aids and materials
- Gather feedback from trainees after sessions
- Conduct new hire department trainings
- Adheres to quality, standards, and best practices for developing instructional materials
- Teach internal audiences about application features, functions, and benefits.
- Generate reports and statistics as needed.
Job Qualifications And Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Solid analytical and risk-assessment skills
- MIS experience is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Familiarity with job training methods and techniques
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience with e-learning platforms
- Proven work experience as a training Specialist, trainer, training facilitator, or similar role
- Strong communication skills
