Product Support Engineer

As a Product Support Engineer, you will assist our internal and external customers in solving various technical and non-technical problems which are related to our products and solutions as part of the Application Modernization and Innovation offering.

With our products, we are in the process of building Next Gen application modernization solutions that are built on top of Java, .Net and Cloud Technologies.

This is a test and support-driven environment where your responsibilities will include product maintenance, JIRA administration, debugging and technical product support. You are expected to encounter new challenges every day for which you would often require research, brainstorming with your colleagues and problem solving.

Work you’ll do

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients in delivered products and technologies.
  • Manage ticket queue for active projects.
  • Administer the JIRA platform for clients which involves dashboards, filters, tickets, search queries, etc.
  • Work closely with Developers to identify fixes for projects.
  • Write small codes and scripts for maintaining our product license management applications.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot our Jenkins scripted pipelines for regular job triggers.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Skills/Project Experience – Required:

  • Experience coding in core Java.
  • Knowledge of additional OOPs languages is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with modern technical environments such as Oracle, MSSQL, Apache Tomcat/WebSphere, Linux, agile methodology.
  • Ability to provide relevant customer service.
  • Experience in JIRA administration or experience working with Atlassian product suite.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Passion for efficient and reliable solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in Quality assurance techniques for software projects a plus.
  • Solution and team-oriented way of working.
  • Work thoroughly and comprehensibly.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines with DevOps and technologies like Jenkins etc. is a plus.
  • Passion for learning and exploring new areas.
