Job Role: Data Administrator II

Position Details

Core Job responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, upgrading and patching of RDBMS server software and related products
  • Support and maintenance of all production and non-production environments
  • Perform daily operational checks, review event management alerts and emails and assist with audits of inventory and processes
  • Provide on-call support and work on weekend as and when required; ability to troubleshoot problems independently
  • Coordinate with internal teams to investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to database standards
  • Works independently on database technical projects. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understand and execute backup and recovery policies/procedures
  • Incumbent is accountable for professional working behavior to include – building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s core competencies and values.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Experience in Oracle EBS 12.1.3 with respect to cloning and patching
  • Working knowledge of RMAN backups, rman restores, Oracle Standby and Oracle DR
  • Knowledge of R12 EBS tools like adpatch, adcfgclone, databases restores
  • Oracle OID/SSO/OAM knowledge, experience with stop and restart of services, troubleshooting OID issues
  • Concurrent manager, PCP setup and troubleshooting long running concurrent requests
  • Knowledge of R12.2 is desirable
  • Database relational modeling & design concepts
  • Proficient in running Linux commands on Linux servers and Linux Operating system
  • Be able to work additional hours on weekend to support patching and maintenance activities
  • Be a team player, able to work on weekends if required
  • Good interpersonal skills – able to understand and communicate requirements effectively

Preferred

  • Good understanding of OS & database networking concepts
  • Broad understanding of Oracle EBS modules and architecture
  • VMware knowledge, migrating servers from Oracle Linux to Redhat Linux
  • Any 12.2.X knowledge
  • Scripting and automation experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems independently
