Key Duties Can Include
- Enters Quality rejection information into Corporate Quality systems
- Communicates rejections to purchase finish suppliers and manufacturing plants
- Requests corrective actions from purchase finish suppliers and manufacturing plants
- Follows up with suppliers to drive towards final disposition of rejected material
- Creates rework purchase orders as required
- Coordinates and monitors the return of reworked material from suppliers
- Resolve issues reported by customers and process partners
- Develop, communicate and maintain supplier packaging requirements
- Customers include logistics, operations, facility engineering, quality, purchasing, and other supply chain functional areas.
Qualifications
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE/ REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:
- Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Mathematics / Science / Commerce
- Candidate must be able to read Caterpillar blueprints at an advanced level.
- Candidate should have 3-4 years of supply chain experience and 1-2 years in quality-related areas.
- Expertise in handling MS office tools (Access, Word, Excel, presentation).
- Candidate should have a strong customer focus, very good planning, organizing, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
- Candidate should have experience in managing supplier communications/issues.
- Candidate should have excellence in verbal and written communications and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
- Candidate must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal, and negotiation skills in order to drive common supply chain processes across multiple departments within a business division.
Desirable Qualifications
- APICS, CSCP/ CPIM certification
- Experience with Caterpillar Parts distribution and knowledge on various Cat systems
- Basic understanding of supply chain data and reporting
- Certified 6 Sigma / CPS Green Belt, Qualification as a CPS Support Team Leader
