Introduction:
• A brief description of the role. To manage a large and diverse team of Process Associates working towards pre-defined targets
• Manage day-to-day activities of the team and ensure compliance to procedures and policy guidelines, encourage and motivate advisors, develop agent skill sets and manage personal development goals for the agents.
• Assist the Operations Manager in the maintenance of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators through effective team leadership.
What will you be doing?
Routine
Portfolio Management
• Approve requests for usage of agreed bank limits in line with agreed strategic priorities
• Request increases / new facilities in liaison with T&WC Risk – proactively identifying when limits are required as well as reacting to requests
• Record sanctioned facilities on GTPMS system
• Ongoing reconciliation of limits
• Maintaining GTPMS to provide an audit trail / history of activity
• Ensuring portfolio of limits in line with sanction
Deal and Collateral Management
• Assist with the management of the deal and collateral positions of clients on a daily basis, including:
• Monitoring of availability of headroom under a facility limit and/or sub-limit;
• all sanction terms of a facility are met;
• Calculation of the collateral value of our security;
• The execution of stock releases, ensuring that the appropriate documentation is held and is satisfactory, the loan to value ratio relating to the transaction is maintained;
• Monitoring of receipt of sales proceeds/repayments.
• The tracking/recording of all stages of a transaction in a timely manner via the spread sheets and/or GTPMS
• Diarizing maturity/repayment dates and any other relevant covenant testing dates, and follow up as necessary
What we’re looking for:
• Strong understanding of ICC rules such as UCP / ISBP / URR / ISP as appropriate to the sub-domain that the candidate is expected to manage.
• Must possess Trade ops Guarantees product experience (Issuance, claims, vetting, Cancellation, pricing) and related correspondence activities.
• Should be aware of AML and sanctions screening procedures in Trade
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Familiar with Operating Systems (Windows 98/95/2000/NT)
• MS Office Application Suite (Preferably Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• CDCS preferred
Education & Experience
• Graduate from a reputed Institute or University in any discipline (BA, BSc, B.Com, BBM, BHM etc.)
• Preferably Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS), CSDG and ACAMS certified
• Experience in SQL and reports will be an added advantage
• Fair understanding of URDG and ISP concepts
