Required Experience:
- Min 6-8 years’ experience in large Data Center migration projects with hands on experience on any of the planning tools
- DCM Discovery
- Normalize and import all applicable data customer data into the Migration Database in DTM or Transition Manager tools.
- Integrate Migration Database with customer database(s) as required
- Basic knowledge on automated discovery tools e.g Device 42, vRNI etc.
- Establish a Change Management process to ensure the latest customer data is contained in the Migration Database in DTM or Transition Manager
- Bundle in DTM or Transition Manager
- Develop Application/Infrastructure Dependency Report
- DCM Planning Phase
- Update and revise migration report as required
- Update and review migration from/To Reports as required
- Import appropriate data from Run Books/Table Tops into the Migration Database (DTM or TM tools)
- DCM Execution Phase
- Import appropriate data from Run Books/Table Tops into the Migration Database (DTM or TM tools)
- Maintain Migration Database Change Control Log including updates made to DTM or Transition Manager tools every week
- Ensure changes to Migration Events are immediately captured in the Migration Database (DTM or TM tools)
- Perform the duties of a Migration Specialist as directed by the Project Manager
- DCM All Phases
- Ensure data integrity
- Make ongoing updates to Migration Database as required
- Identify and report data gaps to Project Manager/Migration Leads
- Good hands on experience in using advanced features of Microsoft Excel (functions and formulas). Hands on experience of data visualization using Power BI and other visualisation tools.
- Knowledge of conducting workshops, preparing migration strategy, migration plans, runbooks, status reports.
- Experience in hosting meetings like – command center, go/no-go, lessons learnt, table top etc.
- Co-ordinates between stakeholder’s and documents the conversation that is meaningful/useful.
- Good understanding of Cloud/infrastructure components and migration methodology.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Good stakeholder management skills – negotiation skills.
- Good articulation and communication skills in both verbal and written contexts.
- ITIL certification (Optional)
